When planning our trip there are several factors to take into account: the weather, the country's currency, the plugs, the situation of the tourist offices ... that's why we recommend that you consult these little tips.

All these questions are especially important when traveling with children, since unforeseen events such as a small medical emergency or discover that the museums are closed can arise. To avoid this, here is some useful information.

Climate

The climate of Paris is considered as semi-continental oceanic. With high humidity despite its remoteness from the coast due to the presence of the Seine River, but generally mild temperatures.

In winter the temperature averages 5ºC, and in summer it can get quite hot and reach 30ºC. Autumn and spring temperatures are between them, above 15ºC.

It is advisable to always carry waterproof clothing and an umbrella, as rain is unpredictable throughout the year, especially in spring and autumn.

The hours are the usual in European territory. Most stores open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., closing at noon, Monday through Friday or Saturday. Department stores usually extend their hours until 8:30 or 9:00 p.m., and the most touristy areas can find shops open on Sundays.

Supermarkets have a similar schedule to other stores, but they are generally also open on Saturdays.

Plugs and electricity

Electricity in France is 220 volts, and round pin plugs are used. Before connecting any appliance, make sure the voltage and the shape of the plug are correct.

Otherwise you can use an adapter or voltage transformer, they are usually offered in hotels or in hardware stores.
